What is personal colour analysis?

An in-person colour analysis is a personalised consultation to determine the most flattering colours based on your unique skin undertones, eye colour, and hair colour.

This analysis aims to identify the specific palette of colours that enhances your natural features, creating a harmonious and balanced look.

We use the International Image Institute's “16 Colour Season System”, a widely used framework in colour analysis. It categorises individuals into different "seasons" based on the qualities of their skin, hair, and eye colours.

The four main seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter) each have unique colour characteristics, and individuals within these seasons are further classified into four subcategories, resulting in a total of 16 colour types. You gain insights into the colours that best suit you by identifying your specific colour season.

Colour analysis process

Wondering how personal colour analysis works? Our in-person colour analysis is a personalised consultation that helps you find the most flattering colours for your unique features. Here's a breakdown of what to expect:

Step 1: Skin Tone Evaluation

We assess your skin undertones using cool, neutral, and warm drapes to determine your undertone. These drapes will either enhance or diminish your skin to determine your undertone. 

Step 2: Colour Season Identification:

Once we have determined your undertone, we will review your hair, eye colour, and patterns. During the season colour identification, we identify your colour season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) based on the draping results.

Step 3: Colour Season Flow 

After determining your colour season, we dive into the intricacies of seasonal flows. Each colour season has four sub-groups that fall within the home season, and you will be draped during this process to discover the specific palette suitable for you. 

You'll receive a colour palette swatch card encompassing clothing, accessories, and makeup suggestions. Plus, feel free to ask questions and gain extra styling tips during the consultation. Lauren is here to make the process easy and enjoyable, helping you embrace your best and most stylish self.

  • Receive a physical swatch palette card featuring your best colours, making shopping a breeze! It's a handy reference for shopping and wardrobe coordination.

  • Get a digital swatch palette for quick reference while shopping or exploring makeup options. Save the swatch files on your mobile for on-the-go style decisions.

  • After your analysis, you will receive a personalised colour analysis report with all the information covered in the session. This will be sent approximately within 7 days after the session.

  • Your colour season can help determine your best makeup colours. Discover your best lipstick shades and other makeup colours to look out for!

  • Discover the best precious metals, stones and other materials to seek out in your jewellery to complement your overall look and suit your colours season!
